Banca Intesa Sanpaolo is an Italian banking institution, active since 2 January 2007, when it was established from the merger of Banca Intesa and Sanpaolo IMI. It has its registered office in Turin and additional office in Milan.
Currently, Intesa Sanpaolo is among the top banking groups in the euro zone with a market capitalization of EUR 18.6 billion. It intends to become a benchmark in value creation in the European banking sector.
The bank is the Italian leader in all sectors of activity (retail, corporate and wealth management). The Group offers its services to 10.9 million customers through a network of 5,300 branches located throughout the country.
Intesa Sanpaolo has a selected presence in Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and North Africa, with over 1,500 branches and 8.3 million customers of subsidiaries operating in retail and commercial banking areas in 12 countries.
It also has an international network specialized in supporting corporate customers, which oversees 30 countries, in particular the Middle East and North Africa and the countires in which Italian companies are traditionally active (such as United States, Russia, China and India).

Banca dei Territori (ensures maintenance and enhancement of regional brands and strengthening relationships with individuals, small businesses and professionals, SMEs and non-profit entities in areas of private banking, bank assurance and industrial loans);
Corporate and Investment Banking (supported a balanced and sustainable development of enterprises and financial institutions in the medium / long-term developments, both nationally and internationally, serving as a “global partner” with a deep understanding of corporate strategies and a full range of services; main activities include M & A, structured finance and capital markets, as well as leasing, factoring and merchant banking );
Foreign Banking (includes subsidiaries that engage in retail and commercial banking in the following countries: Albania (Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Albania), Bosnia-Herzegovina (Intesa Sanpaolo Banka Bosna i Hercegovina), Croatia (Privredna Banka Zagreb), Egypt (Bank of Alexandria), Russian Federation (Banca Intesa), Czech Republic (the Prague branch of VUB Banka), Romania (Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Romania), Serbia (Banca Intesa Beograd), Slovakia (VUB), Slovenia (Banka Koper), Ukraine (Pravex-Bank) and Hungary (CIB Bank)).
